Lotusphere 2008 - AD106: Building Composite Applications for IBM Lotus Notes 8, IBM WebSphere Portal and Mobile Audiences
by Bill McNaughton, February 4
Slides from our presentation at Lotusphere
2008.
Thanks to all of you who attended and
to the tremendous feedback. I was impressed by how much interest there
was in Composite Applications at the show, it's going to be a fun "wave"
for developers to ride. Some people who I spoke to after the presentation
were amazed that you can actually run a portlet off-line within Notes 8
without even having access to Portal Server; I agree - hats off to the
Lotus Expeditor and Lotus Notes 8 development teams. On that note, meeting
some of the developers who are building Notes 8.0.1 Composite Application
features was also great, they were very open about the coming enhancements
which are going to open the gates to much more dynamic and personalized
CAs.
For those of you who weren't at Lotusphere
in person, I hope that these slides give you some ideas for potential Lotus
Notes 8 Composite Applications and if you also have Webphere Portal Server,
how you can integrate portlets. I look forward to your comments and questions.
